I'm looking to buy a dcsb tacoma. A few dealers have some 2013 models left with the features I am looking for and they are a little cheaper than the 2014 models. Is there anything major I'm missing out on by buying a new 2013 instead of a 2014?

I know in some of the 14s you don't have an auto dimming mirror or compass, at all. Other than that I don't think there is anything to miss.

Same truck. Buy a 13 and save money, unless you're hung up on ordering specifics. See above for the auto dimming mirror thing on 14's. Something so minor sure pissed off a lot of new owners.

The stereos are different from '13 to '14, if that is something that matters to you. The rear view camera display also moved from the mirror to the head unit in the '14s. Those were the two things I noticed when test driving both back to back.

FWIW, I was in the same boat as you about a month ago, and bought a 2013.

The none auto dimming mirror sucks, after coming from a 01 2500 diesel dodge and a 07 mustang gt that both had it. You'd think for 30k and it now being 2013 almost 2014 that you could get a auto dimming mirror as standard fair, you can have a video camera but no auto mirror.
