Well for what it's worth, Ive been trying to decide on a tire for a while now. (I just got my new FN BFD's recently). The Duratracs have been my top prospect after all the research I've done on TW. The size I need only comes in load range E which had me concerned. But I talked with a couple very knowledgeable people on the forum who helped me out.

First of all your thread says you're considering two different style of tires. If you plan to use your taco mostly as a dd then you should rule out the M/T. If you get rain or snow you will have trouble. Plus they are heavier and made of softer compound that won't last long on pavement. The Duratracs are an A/T with a more aggressive tread pattern than usual. It's like the best of both worlds. And they are actually light, even in E range. I was told around 50lbs for 275/65-18. They will last longer than an M/T, make less road noise, have better road traction, and still perform off road. And probably be more comfy.

For these reasons I'm ordering a set of Duratracs this month. Please somebody correct me if I was wrong on anything :) And good luck with your choice. Oh and if you haven't bought new wheels yet for these new tires, you should consider talking to Dustin at FN Wheels. Very good person and very quality products. He can help you through this process too, he helped me figure it out and I was clueless.
