How to light reminder relay

I done this cheap mod to my 02 taco trd .You can get these light reminders at most auto parts stores, but I chose to use a factory light reminder relay out of a second gen 4runner. Here's what you do, go to a u pull it and get a light reminder out of a 2nd gen 4 runner it is located above tranny hump in front of the shifters it is labeled on the side toyota light reminder relay, get the wiring and the plug if you can there are 4 wires in the plug. Wire it as shown in the pic I provided Gray not connected, black/orange must go to 12 volt switched power source I tapped into the 12volt side of my lighter. Green goes to the lighter indicator light. Red goes to dome light switch wire behind left kick panel, there is a green wire that plugs into a red wire with a very small plug .I mounted my light reminder above the obd2 plug in.there is a empty 10mm hole there to mount it to. Oh yeah be sure to get the mounting bracket with the light reminder. That's why I tapped into the lighter 12volt and indicator light cuz it was close to mounting location. FYI you have to use the 12volt switched function or ever time you open the doors with truck running the reminder will sound. You will have to extend these wires to get to locations to wire them in. Use napa wire products wire connectors part #784382 these will be a little wide just simply file one side down and slip them into the factory plugs as described then there is no cutting and splicing your wires very easily removed if you change your mind. I also realize on some tacos all lights go off when truck is shut off. This mod is nice if your working on lights with the key off. Good luck I hope all this will post I like giving lots of detail.
