Replaced all four turn signals with LED bulbs a couple years ago on my 1999 Tacoma. I read about problems with new flashers that didn't work, so I never ordered any. Today I finally found these photos and instructions, followed them and got it fixed. I'm not very good at electronic stuff, but I dug out the connection pictured and had success. I was fortunate that my flasher was an exact match to the one pictured.

Just took the point of my exacto knife and and drilled out the red spot on the pic until I could see under a magnifier that the connection was broken. Note that the pic on right is flipped from the one on the left.
