So I have been having some acceleration performance issues with my 2005 6 Cyl Tacoma. The truck does accelerate but at higher speeds there is a slight vibration. I dropped it off at the dealer this morning and they ran a gambit of engine diagnostics but found nothing, which was good. They did notice the rear suspension was worn and the back of the truck was leveled out and since the drive shaft isn't lifted in the rear it might be giving me the vibration issues. They recommended replacing the Leaf Springs for $2100. I figured I would ask on here if that sounded reasonable? I didn't have them do it as I can still drive the truck without issue but I am not sure if letting it go too long can cause other issues. Any recommendations? Thank you much.

I hope that was a typo. 2100 dollars is outrageous for rear leaf springs. You can get a full lift including leaf springs and upper control arms for less.

Tell them to shove it. If you don't want a lift, I believe wheelers sells leaf springs that will not lift it.

If you're a DIY'er then you should take a look into Dougs Chevy leaf swap. Check my sig.

just put in AAL from Toytec, weak ass springs from the factory are a problem. your vibration probably coming from 2 piece driveshaft. you did give mileage or body style. front axle bearing are a problem on these truck along with the wheel bearings. need to know if you feel in the steering wheel, body or brakes also. does it shudder when you take off? no good answer with the info provided.
