Been looking through the forums for info on this and all of the posts overwhelmingly push for a head unit replacement.

I am not interested in changing the head unit (or amp) as I want to keep the stock look. I am completely satisfied with the loudness and features of the stock unit, just want a little better sound out of the speakers.

I plan to add Dynamat and replace all six door speakers, but cannot find what the ohm rating is for each speaker.

Also, can I upgrade the speaker(s) in the sub?

Thanks for the help in advance!

Can you prove that? Even Crutchfield is not sure.

I had a friend with an ohm meter test the speaker (all 3, not the sub) and they were 2 ohm each. Now I just need to pick out a replacement and get some Dynamat.

I don't have the JBL Stereo in my 2011.
The speakers that come from the factory are junk.
I left the head unit and installed an Alpine amp and replaced the 3 sets of speakers with Alpine.
The sound is crisp and clear.
