Hood insulation?

    33x12.50 nitto mud grapplers, Pro Comp eXtreme alloy wheels 17x9, Fabtech/fox adjustable coilovers in the front, Fabtech rear shocks, 3" body lift, Tint, K&N air filter
    I have a 98 tacoma and was wondering if its ok to take off that horrible looking insulation material under my hood? anyone done it??

    Its main purpose is to put smother a fire if your engine catches on fire, that being said I took my old one off and when I ordered a new hood it didn't come with one. You'll be fine ripping it out

    If it looks like crap like mine did, then I say rip it out. I wanted it to actually look nice when I open the hood, so out it came.

    Whether you replace it with something else or not is up to you and how you want the engine compartment to look.

    Icon coil overs, Camburg UCA, 1" body lift, lots of trimming, Scion XB seats with Wet Okle covers, Alpine Head unit and amps with RF subs and Polk Momo in doors, and much more.
    Mine looked like that pic above so I took it off a long time ago and it went in a trash can that also looked like that trash can it is sitting on.

    took mine out looks better.
