Hope someone can shed some light as to why my stereo reception has gotten so degraded after I had the dealer replace the frame.... I have an aftermarket JVC stereo that sounded incredible before I took the truck in to dealer, but not any more. I've checked all the connections from the antenna to the back of the radio and it is all secure, yet the reception is not what it used to be. I've also disconnected and reconnected the radio and the antenna and reseated everything with no avail. Does anyone have the schematics for the antenna? Could it be an issue with the RF grounding? I am leaning towards the antenna as the culprit, since the stereo sounds great when I play a CD or Bluetooth audio. Not sure where else to check.
    Appreciate any suggestions.

I have had several antennas break down inside the base when they were removed. I have a body shop, we change LOTS of antenna bases after we take them off for paint work. They seem to corrode badly for some reason. Might have been damaged if they took the antenna off at all.

    ground.
run a 12 gauge cable from the neg side of battery to the body and to the frame.
heck do a test with a jumper cable from batt to the body. see if it helps.
