What is up with these mudflaps??

    I went with first gen mud flaps. They're flexible and they have the cool retro 4WD logo. Trimmed mine to fit and secured them through the factory holes.

    Yea I need to find an alternative that I like, I was backing up onto a sidewalk, and it was high enough (doesnt need much to be honest), and the mudflap got caught between the curb and the wheel and ripped it nearly off, was able to bolt it back on for the ride, but kind sticks out now.

    Day 2 I scraped a front flap on a speed bump. Took the fronts off that day. Rears came off the next day. I think it looks better w/o but I don't get crappy weather very often. It sounds like you need them in your region. I'd try trimming them if you think you need them.

    the thing that took the longest with trimming the mudflaps was all the research i did about... trimming the mudflaps. tin snips and some sandpaper. took less than 5 min.
