HELP! Can -12 offset work on a 285/70/17 with a 2.5 in lift?

    285/70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. All they had to do was remove the mud flaps, no trimming. There has been no rubbing, I haven't tried going off road with it. Possibly the 2014 TRD off roads been built different?

    Actually the width of wheels (9" in this case) is measured inside the bead or lip where the tire sits, not the outside of the wheel. The bead or lip is usually about a 1/2" wide so a 9" wide wheel is really about 10" wide from the outside to outside surfaces. ;)

    I got the same wheels wit 285/70/17. Did minor trimming and removed front mud flats...

    I have -12 XD wheels running 265/70/17 trail grapplers and they look amazing. I still rub at full lock in reverse. The amount of plastic you would have to cut to make 285s fit is not worth it IMO.

    Those are the only pictures I have on my phone, as you can see it still looks quite aggressive and the wheels stick out pretty far with just 265s.
