Extended warranty help

Gonna pick my 14 dcsb or package tonight. They are offering a " Black Friday" special on the extended warranty. 7 year 100k platinum coverage with no deductible for $1471. Thoughts /advice?

 

I got 7 year 75K for 870 bumper to bumper no deductible on my 2012. Paid it with a check to avoid financing it over 5 years. You should be able to get them to cut that in half!

 

Id say pass on the extended warranty. $1471 in repairs isnt going to happen if you maintain the truck. If you beat it off road or modify it like most of us, you're just going to fight and lose with the warranty dept anyways.

Shop around. I got a 7yr, 100k, $0 deductible, Toyota Platinum Warranty through my dealer for $925. Their cost is $900 for a 4x4 Tacoma, just FYI. That should give you an idea of what your trade space is.

Edit: Dealer cost may be less if you are not getting the 4x4.

I got this email about a month and a half ago so I expect the prices to be very simular if not right on. When I told my dealership about it they matched it. I got the 6 years 75k.
