Currently considering Icon remote reservoirs for $445 on one of the Black Friday deals. Stock rear suspension now, will likely go AAL or Dakar in a few months. Wheelers says they're good for up to about 2.5" lift.

Is there anything superior that I should be looking at in this price range?

Also, with ~90% daily driving, and 10% offroad (mostly higher speed desert stuff), is it worth spending the money for reservoir shocks? Given the ambient temp of ~110f here in the summer, I'm thinking the higher heat ability of the reservoir shocks may be a good idea.

I could do that - it'll just have to happen much later since that's a several-months-away project and my OEM shocks are *tired*.

That's probably a better idea, though, and I could also relocate shock mounts for more travel (assuming I am shock-limited, anyway). The downside is the 20% off Icon is only this weekend.

Ah, ouch. Yeah, I suppose that is the safer bet. I'll park ideas 'til then.

You could always sell them later? LOL

Most likely those shocks are good for 90% of rear leafs out there. SOA can only flex so much. However, I know they're not long enough for AP leafs although some members do run them.
