Has anyone had their led light bar stolen or vandalized while it was on the front of your truck? Im thinking about getting one but my only fear is that someone just has to take off 2 bolts and cut the wires and there goes your light bar, or someone vandalizes it in some way.

If your worried you can always get the security bolts that most companies offer

Never even considered the theft aspect since unlike stereos, there's not a big market for them since the light bar can only be resold to 2nd gen tacoma owners.

It would be easy enough to steal one on my truck. Some people opt for the "Behind the Grill" mount which alleviates most of that concern but I just don't like how they look behind the grill. So... Mine sits out in the open on a N-Fab bar. I'll just take my chances.

I'd put that in the same category of "if someone really wants your tailgate/cap/tonneau/wheels etc. they're going to get it no matter what." Maybe get some of the aforementioned security boots, but don't worry too much about it.

Thats what I was thinking. Instead I ordered 4 cubes from expedition outfitters leds, 2800 lumens, 2 spot 2 floods to put on my nfab light bar.

Not that kind of light bar.

Op is speaking of the led lightbars..... The ones with 1 or 2 rows of leds and come in lengths of a few inches to a few feet.

I did end up with 2 lightforce genesis (when they were a new model) on my avid lightbar.... Never had a problem, and those like most light forces were expensive.
