Does anyone have a rack with a RTT and a spare in the back?

Im wanting to do this and keep everything within my box as much as possible, was thinking have the spare hug the back window and RTT behind that going to the edge of the box(by the tailgate)

    Opinions?

I drew this guy in auto cad and got the guys in our fab shop to throw it together. It is 1" aluminum square tubing 1/8" think with aluminum expanded metal. it attaches to the bed rails. I plan on rhino-lining it and putting some lights on it [IMG]

I sandblasted , primed and bed lined my aluminum rack a few days ago. i like the results. I used Bed Armor from Advanced Auto Parts - hopefully it holds up well. I used an aluminum primer, zinc chromate, as directed by a local line-x dealer.

I have seen lots of guys on here with the Xsporter system but not with a RTT. I'd think from a load bearing standpoint you'd be good-to-go (450 lb rating from Thule). The RTT I helped a friend mount was heavy for two people to lift, but nowhere near 450. As far as mounting/attaching compatibility you may have to add an additional bar rack or have something fabbed. Maybe someone else with more knowledge will chime in.

V2.0. My 07 was mounted with plastic bedrail covers removed.

I had designed this with the fabricator about 5 years ago. Still going strong today. I had it go straight to the bed as the weight of a topper and topper on the Rubicon had flexed the bedsides apart. Design was important to have the right look. It's easy to make bars go around the bed... it had to look good and be strong. Fuel storage was important, short trips its one can, long trips its two stacked on top. Having the bars in the bed keeps the cans from poking outside the width of the body.

Anyone have a set of love2surf adapters for thule (square bars) they want to sell? They don't make them anymore.

I know they aren't very strong. I have a custom built set of bars and a set of oem bed bars, but need something that fit a few inches over the bed rails.

I like to use the action packer storage containers and need something that will be a few inches over the bed rails to hold some thule cross bars for a set of bikes.
