Anyone own a Kershaw selectfire with the black serrated blade and black handle? I can't seem to find it online. I only the found a blue handle silver serrated blade, also any of you used "the Kershaw store.com". I tried Amazon but they didn't have it.

Cleaned 2 deer in the last week with my Ka-Bar Becker Short (BK16) (and completely butchered the first one with it as well). It did great and stayed sharp through it all but it was a pain to disassemble it and clean it after each deer.

I bought a $12 Kershaw Boning Knife to butcher the second one and it's maintenance-free. Into the dishwasher it went.

hey fellas, where is a good place to pick up aftermarket scales? i saw some pretty sick scales for a few knives. spyderco military 2, benchmade griptillian, etc. its mainly the glow in the dark scales (moonglow) im after.

also, im looking at combat knives. what blades are good? is the brand blackhawk reputable? thanks.

Can't go wrong with spydeco or benchmade.

For fixed, also check out ESEE and K-Bar. ESEE are awesome, but the steel is a little prone to corrosion, so you have to keep an eye on it while you are out for extended periods of time, especially somewhere humid.

For something a little more affordable, you can't go wrong with CRKT. I have done numerous deployments and training deployments with them, and they have never failed me.

I mostly use SOG, because I get a killer deal on them. They have worked great for me, and I use them at work all the time. I have currently the Tanto Flash 2, two Slim jim xl's, and a twitch xl.

If you want an awesome combat knife check out busse combat, they are making the Team Gemini Light Brigade right now (Darryl on walking carries one of the original team Gemini blades)

Or get a busse battle mistress

    http://www.bussecombat.com/

And check out the balisong that I bought yesterday, only mark on it is "phillipines". The balisong knife originated in te phillipines so I took a chance and bought it (antique shop), it's gonna get posted on blade forums later for info etc...

That's one loooong knife! I used to have a bunch of "butterfly" knives as a youth. I was pretty proficient with them too.
