Checking the Automatic Transmission fluid in a 2002 2.4 liter base truck

    I looked in the owner's manual and there is no description on how to check the ATF level....in the older trucks, there was a procedure to do this.

    Anyone know if the proper procedure is the same as for the older vehicles?

    My understanding is that you check it at operating temps while running. There should be a hot/cold mark. The type of ATF is on the dipstick.
