GREASE YOUR TC UCA's!!!

Really spaced it and forgot all about the grease zerks on my TC UCAs. Been running them for 2 years without greasing them up here in Maine. Just discovered this last night. Ended up pulling everything apart....real dry and rusty. Was able to clean all the metal up with a belt sander and wire brush and degreaser for the urethane bushing...still had some life left in them. Gosing to see how long the bushings will last. Should make it through the winter...in the spring ill pick up a bushing kit. GREASE GREASE GREASE!!!

Suspension is much smoother now.

 

How is the uniball holding up with the road salts and elements? I went with enclosed ball joint because I was afraid of messing up the uniball with exposure to elements.

 

so far so good....hit it with some WD-40 when i had it appart....the underside was a little worse off then the top side of the uniball.....they make a replacement uniball right?

 

Yes sir! There are two different types (I believe) of uniball. You're gonna have to ask around to see which is the best for TC UCA.

 

i thought TC actually sold a replacement?

 

There are 2 to choose from...the aurora and FK stainless...I just don't know which one is better or more widely used. check the link

 

That aurora ball comes with rust...at least in the picture. That is not too inspiring.

 

Id go stainless...since thats what i already have on there.
