    This is my story:

I was driving down the road, turned on my headlights, all the dash's warning lights lit up, speedo went to zero then back to speed I was travelling.

Parked, turned off truck and went inside, came outside, truck wouldn't start all dead, shifted from Park to Neutral and back into Park, truck started.

Hasn't done it since but what's going on? Don't want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere.

    Thanks guys.

The first part kinda sounds like an intermitent grounding issue maybe , but IDK about the Park - Neutral - Start bit

I have to agree with OZ on this also. There is nothing harder to locate an an Intermittent Ground. I would rather have it just short to ground and stay that way.

I installed rcbs204's lite 4x4 switch (a few months back without any problems) and I tied into the HVAC wiring.

I wonder if I f'd something up maybe?

Was that the last bit of electrical work that was done to the vehicle?

Also, are you confident that switch was installed correctly?

I agree with a possible ground problem. Intermittent ground will cause the computer to do all kinds of weird. I would start with the neutral/park switch ground. You probably won't see anything obvious. Maybe some corrosion.

Agreed, be sure they are clean and tight before proceeding - with a load test of the battery that is.

Try cleaning and tightening all your grounding connections, especially battery to frame and frame to engine.

My dual odyssey's lasted 6-1/2 years until i started having the same problems you did. Took them to a battery shop last week and they said both were borderline. Replaced them and so far so good too.

    Thanks Muskwa.
