Wiring Parking Lights as Turn Signals

So Ive seen the switchback LED mod on the 01-04s, and I currently have done the blinker relocation mod to my corner lights.

But Id rather just rewire my parking light to double as a parking light then switch to a blinker when I turn my blinker on.

Saw a few posts on ttora, and toyota tech using a GM socket and doing it that way but Id rather use OEM, and just deal with the wiring. Has anybody tried this or do I need to be the guinea pig on this operation
