I have a 01 tacoma 3.4l V6. Its bone stock. Over the last 2 months, right after I start it, it will hesitate and will not respond when I press the accelerator.
It will do it when I'm going down the road, I will start loosing Rpm's and when its in gear, the throttle does not respond untill I press in the clutch. As long as the clutch is depressed, it will gain rpm's, but still have a miss or hesitation.

The really strange thing is after this happens, for about a minute, the truck will correct itself, and everything will be fine untill I shut it off, and restart the truck.

So far I have changed, Plugs, Wires, Cleaned the MAF, Changed the fuel filter, oil, ad air filter.

My friend that owns a garage ran the code machine on it and it came up bank1 too rich. He suggested that i changed the plugs and wires, I did, and did not have a problem for a few days. Now its back doing it worse than ever.

I do have a small hole in the side of my muffler, I just noticed it last week. Im not sure if that would contribute to my problem or not.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

    Fred

check the engine temp sensor and the Idle air control valve.... I would also check the pcv cause it can cause a vacuum leak.
