I've seen them but I've yet to hear a review on them.

It'll be the same as buying a normal HID kit from DDMTuning or other places. Those kits are created by transplanting a D2S or D2R bulb and mounting it on a halogen base.

    Ya, what's the point.
You can do it wrong with a direct H4 plug in, or you can do it wrong with a D2S and this adapter.
Either way you're going to be blinding other drivers.

Do the projector retrofit, or just stick with Silverstars.

    Same here.
Did it on my Blazer and Suburban.

At least I had the consideration to replace the Suburban's housings with a set that had the glare caps over the burners, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been... but both were bad.

I also have one in my bike. If I ever get it back on the road, it's getting a projector retrofit.

I have had the projectors before. The point of these from what I have read from a member on here is that it produces the cutoff without using projectors???

impossible. all this does is let you use a d2s bulb with something that's pretty much the same as a h4 glare shield for the reflector housing

you will still shoot light all over the place

    No, it doesn't.
Not any better than the plug-in hi/lo kits.

The problem is the reflector bowl was designed around a filament, and HIS produces an arc. The arc is not in the correct position to reflect properly.

There ARE OEM reflector-based HID systems on luxury cars. The D2R lamp is used in some of them, but the reflector itself was designed around the HID burner.
