I installed my subs and amp and everything worked. About a month later I put in a new box and hooked everything up the same but now the input cord going into the amp only works if it touches the side of the amp not if it is plugged in . Anybody know what's going on ??

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Replace the RCA cable or run a new one from the deck to the amp if it's bad you'll know real fast.

The blue cable going into your amp is commonly called an RCA cable. This RCA cable transfers sound from the head unit to the amp. I'm not sure I fully understand your problem.

Are you saying your amp only has power when you unplug the RCA cable and touch it to the side of the amp?

Or are you saying there is only sound when you unplug the RCA cable and touch it to the side of the amp?

Or are you saying something completely different and I'm just an idiot for still not understanding? ;)
