    Hi all,

Something odd happened with my factory stereo today. I have a 2013 with the tft display head unit - without navigation.

The right 1/3 of the display has failed. The rest of the display is fine. What's even stranger is the tft in the dead area still functions - like the source button for example.

Has anyone had a similar problem? I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow to check into it.

    Thanks,
    Kirb

Haven't experienced that. Only issue I've had is the display not coming on once (entune, JBL, Nav). I've noticed that if I try to do too much with the radio before it boots up it doesn't seem to like it IE: try to switch songs on USB, switch sources etc.
I've just got in a routine where I just let it boot up to the map and then I can do whatever I want with it. Sounds like you've got a faulty unit though.

Seems like its prob a loose wire internally. If the overlay still works that's my best guess. Should be under warranty. Let us know.

There are two different things going on with the display.

1.) The TFT Display, of which the right half isn't working.

2.) The touch panel which is a different thing entirely. Which is working.

It is back to normal today. Might have been a software glitch.

I wasn't doing anything with it when it first happened - just listening to some MP3 via memory stick. At first the dead area went dark with three white vertical bars. Then the next time I started the truck it just came in dead altogether with the other 2/3 looking fine & stayed like that the rest of the day.

I'll report back if it happens again.
