engine mounts breaking on frame!!!!!!!!!!

    I don't know of a recall for that but it is somewhat common on 05's and 06's. For as much as I have abused my 05 I am still surprised that mine are fine. I am hopefully getting them gusseted soon though.

    that just looks nasty i hope you find a good welder and i have never heard of this law about not welding on transport frames....

    Actually, welding a heat treated rail is perfectly acceptable provided the area is reinforced with plates / inserts bolted in afterwards.

    OP, it should not be a big deal to have your mounts repaired, the hardest part will likely be finding someone competent who will take on the job. A body shop specializing in frame repair might be your best bet.

    Busted my 06 motor mounts in barstow during some light offroading. This caused the motor to fall and crack a steering rack valve. Very expensive fix.

    The wife and I have been sledding for years in Pittsburg NH and over the border.

    They will take everything they can.... I've seen the aftermath and we hear new stories year after year.
