It's a 2004 Toyota 4Runner heated leather seats, The seller said the original front mounts were removed from the rails so that the seats can be fit into any vehicle.

Sorry I don't have much to offer, but I have to ask... what's with the surgical glove?

When I get on my other computer I know I have a thread bookmarked where a guy swapped in 4runner leather seats into his Tacoma.

    I'll post it here.

I take it the previous owner was intending to use the fastener-less gravity assisted universal mounting system so the seats can be fit into any vehicle??

I might be sounding like a bit of smartace but isn't it obvious you need to weld on new mounts to the front and more than likely the back? If you are dead set on using these seats I would probably hack the mounts off of your Tacoma seats and weld them up to the 4Runner seats. This will require a lot of measuring. As far as the wiring you will need to find out what wires do what on the 4Runner seats, hook all of them up properly probably via a relay and find some switches to use with them. The fact that you have to ask what you need to do makes me wonder if you aren't over your head for a DIY project as I am 99% sure no one offers an easy install kit to transplant 4th gen 4Runner seats into a 1st gen Tacoma. Can it be done? Sure, it just takes the skills or the willingness to pay for the skills.

Also, tell your helper they need to also be wearing the proper PPE as interior work is very dangerous and dirty work! :)

You could also go to a junkyard and pull out the switches and wiring harness for the heated seats. Then incorporate them into your Tacoma.

Why not search for 01-02 4runner leather?

    Should be a direct match...

According to the link below finding grey leather could be quite the challenge. As far as a direct match...I have read multiple times all four mounts do not bolt up.

Thanks guys I was hoping someone may know a bolt on track conversion or something fairly quick and clean. The tracks look very different, I had a feeling I'd need to get em cut and welded that's why I didn't pick em up yet. From googling sounds like the older 4Runner seat may match 3 out of 4 bolts and just drill a new hole.... I'll look for these.

i installed power leathers from an accord in my 1st gen taco. You will need to do a little macgyvering with the wiring so what you need is a battery and some alligator clips to probe the power seat connector to figure out what every wire does. As for mounting, I made it fit with a hammer then and drilled new holes through the floorboard. One tip of advice, make sure the seat is level because you will feel it in your glutes if its off. Use the hammer sparingly and washers if you go too far. If you want an easier, less ghetto fit I recommend using seats from a same generation toyota. They usually line up, if not 3 out of 4 holes and less if you venture further away from your gen taco so 4runner seats then tundra then others. I wouldnt mind a nice set of lexus power heated leathers from a GX..
