Hello I just purchased a 2014 Tacoma, there is a strange noise from the engine compartment upon shut down. I know that the air pump is supposed to make a bit of a high pitched whine but this sounds like a bad sounding bearing. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has had this happen to them.
    Thanks
    Dave

People describe the smog pump noise very differently. You saying it's happening on shutdown makes me think that's all it is. Have someone turn it off for you and stand on the passenger side by the pump to see.
