I'm looking at some new tires. Cooper at3s in particular. I can get them in 3 different load ranges. P (passenger) for $142, LT C for ~$160 and LT E for ~$180.

E is out of the question, to harsh of a ride/no need.

Is there any reason I should pay the extra for the C? I will do very little off-roading, The taco is a DD. The most I would do for a load would be a trailer from time to time around 3-4000 lbs.

I had the P-rated AT3 in 265/70R17 and they were plenty stiff enough to handle a trailer of that weight. In my opinion, the P-rated versions were just fine for a Tacoma.

Thats what I figured. Tacomas aren't designed for any heavy hauling.
