I have had two Compustar remote starters (one on each of my last two vehicles) and both have been superb. Compustar is a bit more expensive but on both I have had ZERO problems of any kind. One thing to remember is whatever range is advertised ... that will be under ideal conditions across open ground. Buildings, weather, etc all affect the range so whatever starter you get ... get the most range you can afford. My first was advertised at 1/4 mile and was actually good at that distance ... my newer one is advertised at a mile and I have found that to be fairly accurate also. Another feature that I would recommend is be sure to get a Two-Way system ... that way when you start your vehicle you get a confirmation indication that the vehicle actually has been started. Last thing I would suggest is have it installed where you buy it ... hope this helped and good luck on finding your starter.
