Retrofit Question: Reflector Bowl Removal

I am retrofitting my headlights and for the life of me I CANNOT get the relector bowl out. I have Depo headlights--I don't think that should make a difference though. I have searched and searched but cannot find anyone actually explaining the process well enough. The only reason I am calling upon you wise citizens is because I have already tried and cracked one of the pieces on accident

Unless you are doing the FXR, there is no need to remove the reflector bowls.
Just remove the turn signal lenses, tape them up, reinstall them, and paint the bowls.

 

Guide in my signature explains how to do it. If they are different, I have no idea

 

Thanks! One more question. How in the world are you supposed to mount these halos without the wires showing?

 

Unless you mount them behind the shrouds, with the new halo design, you can't.
You can keep it to a minimum and put the tab on the bottom where it won't be obvious, but the best you can do is put a hole in the face of the shroud and pull the wires snugly.

 

Inside the shroud or dremel away at the shroud a little bit in favor of tucking the wires inside and hiding them
