Sprinklers sprung a leak

I woke up last night and heard water spraying in the back yard. I went out back and water was gushing out of the set of valves next to the house for the lawn sprinklers. I didn't get a super good look at it, but it looked like the pressure regulator was busted or something. I don't know jack shit about sprinklers. Can you just unscrew and replace these things?

 

If it was water gushing from the valves vs the actual sprinkler heads, you may have to replace the valves or a series of piping. Generally it's PVC which is super easy to work with.

 

Even if you have to cut the section out to replace it, it's easy... I put my system in mostly (had a friend help dig the trenches ) by myself.

Do you have a picture of where the pipe / valve is broken?
