I did a search for this and didn't find the answer to my specific question.

I need to replace the grill and one of my corner lights on my 97 4WD and got to thinking about updating the grill, headlights and corner lights to the 98 - 2000 ones and am wondering if everything will bolt/clip right on?

    I'm about to replace my 98-00 with a 95-97.

Most of it should just go in plug and play. You should buy the headlight bracket for a 98-00 to make it a potentially easier job.

I like the front as well but considering it mainly because I am going to do a HID retrofit and there will be more room with 98-00 headlights for bigger projectors.

I've heard the 98-00 brackets mount different to the frame. Not sure if the 97 brackets can be used with a 98-00 bumper.

That's all subjective and personal taste.

If you're asking for my honest opinion, I do not like the looks of billet grilles to begin with.

I also think the 95-97 bumper look to "pushed in" or square. Personally I would go with an 01-04 bumper - similar look but more pronounced and round.
