I'm not too familiar yet with the four wheel drive system in my new taco yet, but it appears that there's a bunch of grease leaking out of my CV boot. Can anybody else confirm?

Yes and don't worry about it. You could always slide the boot back up and use a hose clamp if you want.

Yup, my driver side had looked just like that for the past 8,000 miles or so. Nothing to worry too much about.

If you have grease leaking out soon you will have dirt leaking in.
Not a good thing. Fix it.

Depends if you plan on re-booting or just replacing the axles. I didn't want to deal with it so I spent ~$105 on two axles and called it a day.

Just cut that clamp off, slide the boot up and hose clamp it.

i would advise against using a regular hose clamp. they are wider than the cv boot clamp and can cut into the boot and cause damage.

cut the clamp. try to slide it to a place it wont easily slide off of, and go get automotice cv boot clamps and cinch it down good.
