    Hi all!

Two weeks ago I purchased my first truck, a 2014 toyota tacoma access can 4.0 v6! I absolutely love it, by far the best decision of my life! I just want to know if anyone knows what's the best air intake to get for it? Im interested in the air aid, or RBP systems. I just don't know what's best for more HP and Torque? Thank you all for your help! Links and pictures are greatly appreciated ;)

    Welcome to TW!

Look up AFE or volant for air intakes.

I hear nothing but good things about AFE, and I personally have the volant and have zero complaints.

Volant was my next selection, I hear good things about it. I will definitely check out AFE as well, THANKS!

Welcome to TW! Depending on where you live in AZ, the OEM intake gives the best filtration. You might want to reconsider.

Welcome from GA. I have the AFe stage 2. Can't speak for the other brands but to my experience it's just a noise maker and eye candy under the hood, except at wide open throttle, maybe just a little more ump, but I don't drive it that hard very often so it's not really worth it to me. Luckily I won the cai on here, otherwise I'd be upset after spending the $. Oh, and I have dropped ever so slightly in mpg's too, maybe 1/2 to 1 mpg.

Welcome, I agree with those who say its not worth it. You're not going to notice any performance gains, and my experience with the AFE it will let more dirt into your motor.

None of the cold air intakes give any gains in power or torque unless you use it in conjunction with a turbo or supercharger.

If you want the sound or simply better underhood appearance, AFE Stage 2 with Pro Dry S filter P/N 51-82342 would be my choice. No filter oil to mess with. And it's compatible with the air pump on 2012+ Tacomas.

Welcome aboard Tiffney! My advice... leave the engine and suspension stock. Add a few things like window tint, visors, bed mat, seat covers, floor mats, step bars, additional lights, etc.

    Welcome to the club.

Instead of getting the air intake; why don't ya just get the TRD Supercharger? You'll get more HP and Torque out of it. The only down side to that is it's a bit more pricier than just getting the intake - guess it all boils down to how much you're willing to spend. If money isn't an issue, get both...you'll have more HP and Torque but not sure if you'll pass inspection. (It's a risk but is it worth it?)

thank you for all of the replies! I look forward to modifying my truck in different ways :) I'm so excited to be joining the forums as well! Looks like I might hold off on the intake and just put some bigger tires, wheels, and tint on my baby.
