Well that was the plan today, I was gonna help with it. But we had to work on the brakes first so when we got to looking at them, the calipers weren't clearing the rotors cause the race in the whole hub setup wasn't seated in all the way. Workin on it again tomorrow. Pickin up pizzas and on my way to put injectors in a 6.0

    My gums are raw...

And Gid, yea, thought my LCA bushings were shot and figured I had an issue with at least one tie rod, and knew my CV boots were leaking. Took it in to Toyota, I'm good friends with the GM's son so they are cool to me and cut me a good deal. But even with knocking the price down a bit, it's still gonna be about $1400 to have them replace both tie rods, new CV boots, both inner and outer, and then also have them tighten my e-brake. Bushings are apparently ok, just needed the bolts tightened down and the bang of them smacking against the mounts has gone away, but they are going to keep an eye on them. And then I'm dropping it off on Friday to get her all prettied up...it's going to be hard resisting offroading for a bit, but my dad is offering to pay to have all the dents and battle wounds taken out and have it refinished, so it's hard to fight that.

He doesn't quite share my offroader/gear-head mentality, all he sees is money getting spent on it that he won't see back...I need to hurry up and be a doctor so I can afford this damn hobby(obsession)...unfortunately that won't happen for a while.

Well, it's damn 6:30 in the morning. Started the injector project at 8pm. 6.0's are a bitch to work on. I think we've got it running now and the new tunes are loaded. Owner of this diesel place says he can pull around 15hp out of my truck with tuning. If I go forced induction (I wish!) it would be a totally different game.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
My truck can finally be driven again.
I took it to a local shop. They test drove it and agreed that something wasn't right. Then they checked a bunch of stuff at no charge.

They told me that based on tire wear, alignment should be ok. LCA bushings, steering, ball joints, wheel bearing, and u-joints felt firm.

Their only suggestion was "maybe" the center bearing on the driveshaft. I told them that seems odd since I just replaced it about 1.5 year ago. So I thanked them and said I'd wait for it to get worse before spending money on that again.

Well, I got home and decided to put it on jackstands and poke around some more. Didn't make sense to me how it could be the center bearing since the noises stop when I swerve right. Then I thought more about the wheel bearings. The new one on the passenger side was silent. Driver side sounded like marbles rolling on a metal tray. No play in it at all. Just really noisey.

So, I took the old bearing/hub assembly that I had removed from the passenger side a few days ago and popped it into the driver side. Went for a ride and noise and vibration gone!

Took off my sway bar too. I think it rides better. The OME 885s are stiff enough that it still seems to corner ok.

Hahahaha Wtf!!! So it was a wheel bearing the whole time. Lol that's funny. And the no sway bar will make it ride smoother because it makes your suspension completely independent which also causes more body roll. My truck has a lot of body roll, like a trophy truck, but I like it cause I know I did it for offroading

Can someone suggest a decent priced aux fuse block. I am wanting to use it for my lights, the two sets of off roads and my led light bar when I finally get it. Plus maybe a winch setup later down the road. (Since I'm 4x2 for now. It may come in handy, plus my amp. I saw the blue sea ones. Then I saw others that look just like them for a fraction of the cost.

It costs a good penny, but its marine grade. Do you really want to cheap out on your electrical? Ask Gid about that. Cheap electrical = expensive fire.

i can wait until whenever. I been driving the frs while fucking off with fixing my wheel bearing, which is fixed now, and i gotta crank my truck every other day and let it idle for awhile cause my batteries are being drained so fast. I was gonna wire my winch this weekend but that would only add to the parasitic drain so im just gonna wait till i have that breaker and plate, rip out ever wire that ive ran so far and completely redo it all. Well ...... maybe not rip it all out but def clean it up.

oh and im goin to knoxville this weekend and wont be back till sunday night/ monday morning but monday would be cool that way i could get started. And while your here .......... i might need help mounting my bumper back on once i mount the winch up. haha and speaking of this weekend, WHO AM I HANGING OUT WITH!!!?????? since no one but kurt seems to wanna show me any hospitality!
