Rear TSBs and Add-A-Leafs

I was doing some looking at the numerous DCSBs under the 2nd gen tab here and it appears that most of the guys with the TSB rear leaf are not using an Add-A-Leaf when lifting the front. I was considering doing 5100s in the front set to 1.75" and a 1.5" Toytec in the rear to gain a flat but slightly higher than stock look.

It appears after doing some reading if I were to do this I'd end up with the bed WAY higher than the front unless I jacked the front to the 2.5" setting which I don't really want to do on a DD truck for reliability (had HUGE problems from ball joints and tie rod ends in my 2000 Tacoma with 3" lift.)

I just wanted to see if someone could confirm that a 1.5" AAL (when used with the TSB leaf) and 5100s at 1.75 would cause the bed to be significantly?

Any pictures would be awesome as I am still trying to decide if I even want to do the lift after putting on 265/75/16 Duratracs...

Are those 245s or 265s?

Just out of curiosity are the control arms still at a reasonable pitch? I only ask because I had a 2000 tacoma that seperated a upper ball joint sending me straight off a curve into a deep ditch. I am still nervous about a repeat failure and ending up on the roof again.

 

They're 265's. everything looks good underneath, no extreme angles. It sat really level with just the 5100's and no AAL.But, after hauling my quad around a lot, and getting a shell the truck took on a 1 inch nose high look and i hated it. The AAL fixed it and now it rides better than stock with the springs and 5100's all around.

Also the Toytec website has a With and Without TSB 1.5" AAL. This is the with one.

Since we are on the topic. My 2013 has 3 leafs, plus a helper leaf (flat). Is that the TSB or no?

You cant tell by the amount of leafs.... SR5 and Sport models came with the 3 leaf + overload....

Offroad comes with 2 leaf + overload.

Suppossedly toyota "redesigned" the leafs from -11 to 12+ but it didnt do anything.

 

I have a 2008 DCSB SR5 and it only has 2 leaf + overload. This is the non TSB set up correct?
