Looking at a 09 Tacoma 4 cyl. 4wd., 5 speed manual. Thinking about buying it. Does anybody own one? What trouble do you have with them if any? Thank you

MANY people complain about the clutch and gear shifts of both the 5 and six speed manual. if you are considering a manual trans because it is available, I don't suggest it.

however, if you are a die-hard fan, or are very interested in learning, it will work fine. I have the 08 v6 6spd 103k miles, my dad has 09 4cyl 5spd with around 50k miles. zero issues for either of us.

if you drive it with an understanding that its not a racecar, nor is it a semi-truck capable of huge loads, you will love it

and as far as the rest of the truck, my dad tore a c/v boot somehow, and so have I, and the factory tires are too small. they are great trucks for getting around, camping, hunting, light boating, and trips to home depot.
