I have a 2004 Tacoma 2.7 4x4 5 speed with 150K and its having a slight hesitation when taking off from a stop light or punching the accelerator from low RPM like 1000-1500 in a higher gear 3-5 lugging it. So far i have replace fuel filter, spark plugs the generic kind like 2.50 a plug, cleaned the intake and throttle body as good as i could it had so black residue in it, replaced the MAF sensor with a new one and replace K&N air filter, now its now much of a hesitation as it was before i replace those things so i know im going in the right direction. But now im stuck at what to do know...any help??

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Maybe a sticking injector. Perhaps a tank or two with a fuel system cleaner might help. Maybe the TPS is going bad, too.

This morning the hesitation was horrible, i know its a fuel or spark problem, from dead idle not in gear you could stab the throttle and its would just studder and finally clear out and run fine, what could this be, i am replacing plugs again with densos and replacing PCV valve for the fun of it ...please help

I have the same problem, tacoma 2000 4x4 2.7 engine, no I check the temperature sensor?
I verify that when the engine is cold, this problem does not occur, then when the temperature rises the problem starts

yea temp sensor or TPS sensor will be the next check, i replaced autolite plugs with denso plugs as well as installed a PCV valve and seafoamed the gas tank and had no hesitation last night and this morning, hopefully that fixed it
