For those of you with a Softopper or Bestop; post a pic of how you closed the gap between the cab and front of the top. I have ideas, just don't want it to look shitty. How do you keep it in place?

I'm interested to see what you do or what others comment.

I wish it would blend-in better with the truck and not look like a black box sitting on the bed. Although it is very useful.

I have a softopper. I think the bestop blends-in better but they don't make one for my BCSB 1st gen.

I see pics of other Softoppers and they always seem to be fitted better. I have pulled and snapped and unsnapped and wiggled and worked the velcro till my fingers were sore and have never gotten it juuuuuuuuust right. Alas, it is what it is. As Moe said, still very useful. My concern with using closed cell foam is it will squeak where it rides against the cab. I was thinking of using some type of clear vinyl adhesive backed tape for a once time use kind of thing. Just across the top.

Yeah I've tried to close the gap as well. I even shifted the softopper bed rails as far forward as I could so that the rear sliding window and the softopper window would be touching. Well after, the rear window by the tailgate was now to far inward and the entire bed wasn't being covered.

I think the only thing that can fix the separation between the topper and the cab is more fabric that seals around the gapped area

Is it annoying to hear ice rattling in the gap? yeap. Would I buy a 3rd Softopper for my next truck....Yeap. Just too damn handy to not have.
