I didn't bother reading through everything since this post (just skimmed a little) because there was so much, so I don't know if anyone mentioned this already.

Since you say you have 15" wheels that tells me you have a 5 lug 2wd because the 6 lug's brakes are too big to fit 15" wheels so they all run 16's or bigger. You literally bought the lowest model available and you are complaining about missing features. You literally bought a version of the Tacoma that they tried to make as cheap as possible to pretty much just be a work/company truck and not for someone to personally own and drive around themselves really.

You're Scion has no such equivalent which explains why it doesn't lack such features, besides the fact that I don't know whether you had a higher model or the bottom model of them. Almost every feature you listed as lacking, my '05 has (2005 was the 1st year they made this gen and they have made a few minor improvements along the way to get to your 2014). I bought my Tacoma just over 2 years ago for $25K with only 11,800 miles on it. I'm sure if you searched around some you could have found the nicer 6 lug model used, for the $22K you paid, maybe even less.

Again though, the big issue here is the fact that the 5 lug was just not designed to be a personal vehicle with much/any luxury what so ever to it.

Side note, those obnoxiously large headrests are there to protect your neck from damage in the event of a car crash. Whiplash/neck fracture is a nasty thing and airbags will slam you back in your seat pretty damn hard man.

Good to know..I like the seating position, sport car like... and a lot more practical than a sport car.

I just had my seatbelt alarm deactivated by the dealer. I always wear my seatbelt on road but hunting or off-road I don't. Much better not hearing that noise!

My temp gauge reads about 5-7* high and I can't figure out why...
