So I've searched quite a bit and noticed that not too many people are running the set up I had in mind. I have a 2.25 leveling kit, and am looking at 18 wheels.
tire size I was thinking of a 265/70/18, thinking it might be a little better in the snow and perhaps slightly more efficient over a 285... would this be accurate?
now, if i were to do the 265 can I get away with a wheel with a backspace of 5.14 (18x8.5) or is a 4.5 still a necessity? I like that size wheel on paper because it looks like it would just barely sit outside of the fender vs a 18x9 with a 4.5 that looks like it would sit another 7/10 of an inch out.

any insight would be greatly appreciated. just got a new tacoma and I am amazed with the knowledge shared on this site, i just didn't see that too many people were running 265s on 18s, it looks like most people opt for a 285/70/17 in that size range.

    Cheers! thx
