I got a viper remote start 4105V installed. I no longer have a reverse camera in my rear view mirror (i have a 2011 trd sport). When I go in reverse, the camrea goes to grey, then blue for about 3 seconds, then disappears! the installer wasnt sure why it did that (the best buy installer). Has anyone else experience this?!

Also, kinda crazy but if I start the truck, and never hit any of the unlock buttons from the viper key fob, and I walk away from the truck after I park it, IT WONT LOCK from the key fob! I have to hit the unlock button regardless, then the lock button and all 4 doors will lock. Is this common also, please someone who has the same model let me know. idk if the guy just messed up too many wires or if this is the cost of an aftermarket remote start (i figured viper was the best after all the research I did). If this is normal, I def. would not recommend getting one!!! Anyone with help, please fill me in. Thanks a lot guys :)

Also, I no longer have the "beep beep" when unlock the truck or the "beep" when I lock it. I do still have the parking lights that flash, its just silent now. Is this normal as well.

Looks like they screwed up the install alright.
My truck also has the Viper security and remote start installed. It was installed by a previous owner. Looking at the Toyota Service record he also had trouble. He took it to the Dealer and they said it was caused by a poor installation. Here's the info on that.

DIAGNOSIS ~|~OWNER STATES THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON HAD CODE P1780 AND CUST REPLACED PARK/NUTRAL POSITION SWITCH.LIGHT STILL ON ~|~VERIFY HAS SAME CODE P1780 .CODE IS 2 TRIP LOGIC. ~|~CHECK VOLTAGE AT ECM - NO GOOD.SPEC FOR PARK AND NUTRAL IS 0-3 VOLTS AND HAS .42VOLTS.SPEC FOR D,R,L,2 IS 9-14 VOLTS & HAS .92VOLTS.PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE RELATED TO REMOTE START SYSTEM THAT WAS RECENTLY INSTALLED. CUST WILL TAKE BACK TO INSTALLERS

So its pretty obvious they also screwed up your install. Bring it back.
Yes my car chirps twice on lock up and once on unlock. Or maybe its the other way around.

edit. the following is a screw up on my part.
Cut and paste from another thread.
    Ignore

    Don't really understand this part.

"You start the truck without hitting the unlock button."

There should be a very loud alarm going off if you do that.

Bring it back..its all messed up.

Back up cam sounds like a loose connection. Or the cut a wire

No beep or honk. My installer did this too. But being the motivated person I am. I looked all around for the horn wire and wired it in to my horn. Now it honks once on lock twice on unlock. Have yet to try to an hook it up to the factory piezo siren and see if it will work. I couldn't stand not hearing my truck lock or unlock. Very easy to fix that part but may require finding the programming button and turning on honk alert. I can show you pics if you need them. Just let me know.

Its like a long system to get everything to work: When I start the truck with the remote, the driver door unlocks automatically (which I dont like). So now lets say I get in the truck, put the key in, drive away. Well when Im done driving (notice at this point I have hit no unlock or lock button) and I leave the vehicle, I always hit the LOCK button on my key fob. well with this viper fob, it WONT LOCK after hitting the LOCK button, I have to first hit the unlock button, THEN the lock for it to lock. that just seems really strange to me and sounds like just more wiring being messed up. Cant believe how stupid this situation is, I def regret it (im sure not everyone has gone through this much trouble though). Thanks for your guy's input, I appreciate it. Anyone else have anything to add please do so.
