Hi. Bought a cable and Techstream software. Was able to turn off seatbelt chime but that is it. That alone make purchase worth it, but I am curious how I might modify other things like door chime volume or adjusting TPMS pressure limit. Any help would be awesome. Thanks. Bob

The pressure limit I believe can be set with the TPMS button under the dash. Only think the tech stream can do for TPMS is to register or change sensor codes, incase you got multiple wheel sets with TPMS sensors.

    Yup.

Door chime? Open the clamshell behind the steering wheel and unplug the 2-wire connector near the end of the ignition switch.

Why would you turn off seatbelt chime?

You can re-calibrate the passenger seat weight sensor for the airbag.

    Pretty exciting huh?

There are times it is really annoying. Like setting a stereo receiver on the seat and then having to listen to the chime all the way home cause you forgot to plug in the seatbelt. Or out hunting and again not doing the seatbelt behind you. Mostly for me its just setting something heavy on the seat. I rarely have human passengers so its more of an annoying thing for me

Does this dissable the door chime aswell as the seat belt chime? or just the door.

I also would like to disable the TPMS sensors, Plan on covering the bulb honestly. But if there a way to do it with programing please share .

Only the "key-in/door-open" chime that bug the piss out of you when gassing up or sitting parked listening to tunes with the door open.

I don't care about the seatbelt chime (mine only works on the passenger side anyways), and I actually LIKE the TPMS.
It was stuck "on" for the first 5 months I had the truck.
Finally took it to America's and in 10 minutes (no charge) they had it working.

2 days later on the way home from work, the light came on.
Thinking it was screwed up again, I pulled over and cycled the ignition... nope, no flash, just came on and remained on. Sure enough, one tire was down 10psi.
Located the leak and marked it (with a black ballpoint, hard to see).
Took it to Pep Boys and they could not locate the leak... I pointed it out and they plugged it.

Had it not been for the TPMS, I would have come out the next day at 5am to go to work and found a flat.

If you are concerned about running summer/winter tires, the TIS cable allows you to register a 2nd set of sensors and you can then plug in and switch sets when you switch wheels.

Or... buy a set of configurable sensors for your winter tires and "clone" the serial numbers from your factory sensors.
