not too much to write about, just wanted to give a thank you to the helpful people on the forum who take the time to do write-ups and how-to's for projects like this. makes the process go rather smooth! I will say that once saw things for myself it was pretty obvious what needed to be done.

was originally thinking of buying a new radio as the one I have installed is blue. then I realized i'd save a bunch of money if I buy some lights and match the instrument lights instead!

changed most of my dummy lights white or blue depending on what they are, left the oil light alone though and left the needles stock also. only one I don't like is the light telling me my headlights are on, it seems pretty bright as you can see from the picture. i'll probably take it back out and put something between the light and dash to dim it down. its a fuzzy cell phone pic but I know I cant post without a pic [IMG]

forgot to mention, also removed my door buzzer!

tundrataco, here's the link where I got the "how-to"

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/40466-how-change-you-dash-lights-jotaro.html

    and here's where I got the lights - http://www.oznium.com/plcc-2
a note on the lights, since they are inexpensive I bought a lot more. I'm guessing but I think I changed out 22 lights all together? there are other write ups including how to do the needles, which is two or three lights each? can't remember. when I made my order with oznium I got 18 blue and 10 white and have 4 blue left over and only a couple whites. depends if/which of the dummy lights you want to change. I did most of them but not all so I used more. I think the guy who did the write-up in the link above used 10 or 11 lights total? depends what exactly you want to do. hope this helps

How hard was it to get the panel off? Also, was it easy unsodering the factory lights and putting the new ones in? Did you have any problems with the install? Looks awesome I really wanna do this but am scared I will screw something up or not solder something back on correctly.

Its all fairly easy, I was a little hesitant at first. I've had the lights for two weeks if that says anything. There's probably a proper way to remove the lights but I just put the tip of the gun on one side and pulled up with tweezers. Once one side popped up I did the other side and light was off. Putting the new lights on is fairly simple from there, just make sure they're facing the right way. The lights have a small notch on one side. The panel next to one side of where the light solders on has a small white dot. Make sure the notch is facing the dot
