Op hope yours doesn't start the valve rattle mine did in the short time I had it. Other than that they are pretty stout trucks and as far as looks and features. The f150 is much cleaner than the tundra. But towing capacity the tundra is hands down the best in gas powered. The room in a crew max tundra knocks the f150 out of the water.

Yep. And when you say I'm used to it blah blah blah. You'll hear a loud crunch and bye bye head, timing chain, internals, and a few nicely priced other components

I will agree it sounds like you got the short end of the stick on your trade. I got 26k for my 2010 with 56k miles.

Regardless, the F150's are quite nice and should meet you're needs better. Hope you like the new ride!

At least it wasn't a "I traded my Tacoma for a Dodge" thread.

So I sold it to buy this for my son and we are currently modding it.

The reason I didn't give him the f-150 was because it was just doing this since it got about 10 MPG on a great day with the big V-8 that we had modded. :p

I was looking at a blue flame metallic f150 before the tacoma. The one I wanted was nothing special and cost $51k. That is ridiculous for a half ton.

Also I didn't want terrible gas mileage and didn't need a full size truck. Basically I just wanted a truck because I walk to work anyway and don't have to worry about gas expense

Well congrats OP and good luck with the ford. I personally would recommend a lift and exhaust to start with.

I do like the look of the F150, but it's still a Ford. I was at an auto show, and their showroom model already had rust on some of the engine.

Does it have the Ford installed Midget stripper pole on the tailgate?

I don't see how the value of your taco went down by almost half in 1 year though....
