When I was shopping the dealer tried to give me a deal on the red version of my truck. I took his "deal" price to another local dealer who promptly under cut his price by $900 or so and had the color I wanted (timberland mica) on the lot in 2 days. If you are able to shop around and try to make the dealers out do one another.:D

i might buy a color i didn't really like if i was buying a used truck and getting a great deal.

i would not buy a color i did not like if i was buying a new truck from a dealer.
for what they get for those new trucks $$$$$$ it had better be the right color.

15% tint over factory all around, U-Haul hitch, Hopkins wiring harness, 2.25" ReadyLift spacer/ AAL kit, 265/70/17's on Gunmetal/Machined Enkeis, JVC head unit w/ Ipod interface, WalMart seat covers, hoseclamp mod, seatbelt beep mod, bedrail bike mounts, 6 D-rings in bed, Pop N Lock
This may sound weird but as long as I like the interior color, if the price was right I would do it-

If you are really set on a color I would try to find one in that color if you don't you'll regret it later. I personally think the tacoma looks good in all of the stock colors.

I wouldn't settle myself. Getting a new vehicle I think you should get exactly what you want. I knew I wanted a magnetic gray access cab with either TRD package. Won't be doing much off road so the OR package wasn't a necessity, but I would have bought that one had they had a mag gray one. Only one they had on the lot that wasn't just an SR5 was a white OR. I contemplated getting it but I really wanted the mag gray, so I'm waiting on them finding me one now.

Only way I would buy something cheaper and not in the color I wanted is if I had more than enough money left over to re-paint the whole thing.

So no, I would pay more and get the color I wanted.

Okay, maybe with this it might pull you over the edge in regards to white. Safety! Of all the colors white is the safest, simply because your well seen by other drivers, day and especially at night. The only complaint I have heard about white are the folks that live in heavy snow areas in the winter. Insurance companies have discussed giving cheaper insurance prices with vehicles that are white.
Then there is the cleaning aspect, it hides dirt and dust best, along with inevitable scratches. White is right, much better than black. Just think about it. And one last thing, your buying a Taco, not a Frontier. It's not so much about the color as it is the style.

There, fixed it for ya. Why do you think a majority of commercial vehicles are white?
