My prerunner came factory with 4.10 gears and 235 tires with steel rims. Well the tires look goofy because they are to small so I found a good deal on some 31s on factory aluminum rims. I did find that most trucks with 31s have 4.56 gearing and am I wondering what will happen when I put 31s on my truck. Do I need a regear?

No. You have the 3.4L so you will be fine with the 31's and 4.10's. Only the 4 cyl are running 4.56's. You shouldn't NEED to regear until you go to 35's.
