I'm interested in picking up an icon stage 1 or similarly pieced together setup. I'd like to run this with a set of dakars and LR ucas I'm getting a good deal on. My question is, will the LR ucas be sufficient enough to raise the fronts to 2.5"-3" to match the height in the rear? SDHQ told me it would be hit or miss, just wanted to get some more feedback. Thanks.

Yes, the LR's will work fine.

Just used LR uca's on my BOSS set up and they worked great, the shop that did it was thrilled that I even opted for the UCA's haha made their life a lot easier especially when it cam to the alignment!

Are there any cons to running LR ucas with this setup? Ride quality, travel etc.

    Getting there...
Should work fine. Can't speak about ride quality. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way they'd limit your travel is if you got the extended travel coilovers. Then you'd need uniball UCA's or else they'd limit your downtravel. Total Chaos, Icon, AP, Desert Racing all make uniball UCAs.

The UCA's wont affect the ride quality. The spring and shock do that. The UCA's affect the geometry.
