Read my edit I added above. I noticed the LT while you were writing your reply

Agree with most except one thing.

The "Generic" that you speak of is the metric system. I think thats pretty set in stone and not really debatable 1 inch equals 25.4 mm.

I run that size. They rubbed my stock UCA'S at full turn in reverse.

    Sigh....

I'm not sure why you are belaboring this point. Its not my opinion, this isn't my theory - I'm reading the published charts online from the tire manufacturer and I provided you links to those charts.

    Generic:

    1
a : relating to or characteristic of a whole group or class : general

    http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/generic

The generic height for a 265/75R16 tire is 31.65". That's the number you get when you do the math - the problem is that it isn't an exact match for all tires manufactured w/ that tire size, the manufacturer determines the specs of the finished product.

I am not saying that the metric system isn't set in stone, merely trying to clue you in to the fact that tire manufactures don't stick to that measurement as a set in stone fact when they make their tires, but I think you knew that already...

They are narrower than the tires that came on your truck - they shouldn't be rubbing the UCA's.

The problem seems to be that your hung up on Mickey thompson's sizing chart. . The op asked about the Size not the Mickey Thomspon which you seem so hung up on that what you received is not they same as someone else. Seems you should have a problem with MT not the metric system.

Le sigh you seem to think that calculator is someones guess work, but its as simple as 1 inch equals 25.4 mm. That is NOT generic, I dont get how you think Arithmetic is some characteristic of a class, isn't that the definition you chose?

You were calling me out for my understanding of the Mickey Thompson MTZ tire sizing and that's why I'm referencing Mickey Thompsons:

I see reading comprehension isn't your strong point, so I'm not going to address the calculator again. You've failed to grasp my point the first two times, I doubt a third explanation will make the bulb come on. Have a good night.

You're not addressing it again because you're mad at math.

No worries I understand. Good luck with that in the future.

Yup. Sport wheels. I think its the aggresive tread pattern of the guard dogs. After I switched to LR UCA's and changed my camber to 2, no more rubbing.

Maybe I will just keep my 265/70/17...seems like I need a 3 inch lift to fit those tires...not a Good time of year to drop $3g on my truck
