    Hey guys,

So after long deliberation I finally decided on a new set of wheels and tires for my 11 TRD Sport. I decided to go with the 17x9 XD Series Misfit wheels wrapped with General Grabbers AT2 265/70r17 on a stock suspention. The reason for my post is not to show off these new boots on my TRD lol, but because it was hard for me to make a decision on these wheels because after long hours of research I didn't find many Tacomas with these on. I will continue to update with pictures (once i get these on tomorrow) and my personal review of the wheels and tires. I hope this post helps others who are debating what wheels to go with. Other than that let me know what you think and if you have any questions.

First thanks KPT for the welcoming.

My wheels and tires came in today and were installed. I am super pumped on the end result. I am happy with my decision to go with this wheel and tire set up.

XD Series Misfit: The quality of the wheel is great. I am not a big fan of the chrome bolts around the wheel, but it appears that most wheels have them now days. I wonder if I can removed them and paint them black? As mentioned above I went with the 17x9 0 offset. More than anything I like that they are different and as far as know not a lot of people have them on the Tacoma.

General Tire Grabber AT2: These tires just look awesome. That's probably because the look just like the BFGs All Terrain. In my opinion thats one of the best tires out there, but they are expensive. The tread pattern looks identical as does the profile view. They are very quite on the road and make for smooth ride. Not much difference from stock, of course on regards to ride quality. As mentioned above I went with the 265/70r17, which is a 31.6" tire. They look more aggressive and way better than stock. The only flaw is that I put these on a stock suspension and even though they state that this is the biggest size you can run stock, they rub on the mud flap when turning. I will remove the mud flaps and see if that fixes the issue without having to do any cutting. Well enough of that here are some pictures!

Thanks SingleCabGuy. That is one of the main reasons I went with this model because no one really has them on the Tacoma.

In addition to continue my review, I removed the front mud flaps and that solved the problem without any other alterations. There is no longer any rubbing when turing even at full lock out.

I also found out that the chrome bolts on the wheel are actual plastic snap ons. so it is very difficult to remove and paint them black and reinstall them :/ oh well there not too bad, although I wish they could be all black.

I also went with these tires this past Monday.I took the mudflaps off since it was rubbing but itbaxtually still rubs when pulling into my drive way or out of a parking spot. Hopefully the lift this weekend helps with that

Does the 2012 Prerunner SR5 have the same height as the 2011 TRD Sport? I like the set you have on

I have put approx. 1500 miles on the truck since I put these tires on. I have done mainly in town driving. I have done some off road driving on dirt and gravel. Let me tell you that BFG better watch out. These tires are just amazing! They handle great on loose gravel and on dirt. Great traction. On street roads and highways smooth and quite ride. Nice and aggressive look, function without jeopardizing ride quality!

After approx. 1500 miles not a sign of wear!

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Nice truck! I'm considering almost the exact truck. TRD sport double cab, Magnetic grey, XD misfits, Grabber AT2's. Are you still happy with everything?

SGT - You said the offset was '0' but do you know what the Back space was on the new wheels? Thanks!

The tires should run on a stock suspension with no rubbing but you also went with a larger wheel than stock. That has to count for something.
