I'm pretty sure there's a roll over valve that prevents a hose from getting into the tank from the filler neck. That's why these guys are drilling the tank. Anyone make a larger tank? How about a steel one?

Back in the day when the gas shortages hit, I had a summer job driving pineapple trucks. Because people would steal the gas, the company put in some sort of screen to prvent a siphon hose from going in. I had a truck with a broken gas gauge, and when the truck was serviced daily, the screen or whatever would cause the gas nozzle click off as if the tank was full. Ran out of gas two days in a row. I loved it cause it was a good break for me waiting for someone to rescue me. I miss driving that old truck, 21 speeds, and non-synchronized. Yeah did a lot of gear grinding learning to drive that thing.

Even a spark into the Liquid Gasoline will not burn or blow up. The vapors on the other hand BOOM!
